Fragile – Handle with Care

The exhibition juxtaposes two contrasting approaches to nature: the expansive, atmospheric landscapes based on the concept of Oneness, and the intensely cropped and vibrant stained-glass-like botanical compositions of Fragile – Handle with Care.

While the landscapes articulate nature as an interconnected whole, the botanical paintings examine nature up close—as abundance, complexity, beauty, and fragility.

While formally distinct, both bodies of work are grounded in an underlying concern with interconnectedness and the fragile relationship between the natural world and human experience.

This new book features 32 iconic and emerging artists from around the world. It has been conceived and produced by Dharshana Bajaj, under her imprint Itihāsa Press.
